How to Make an Easy Origami Cicada

Summer is coming, as a representative of this season, let’s make an origami cicada together to greet the summer, it is easy to make and super cute!

Material

Prepare a 15*15 cm origami paper, with one green and one white side, this will create a 10*9 cm cicada.

You can refer to the video and follow along to finish or follow our step-by-step picture tutorial.

Start with the white side of the paper facing up and fold it in half diagonally, crease it well.

Take the right point, fold it to the other side diagonally, crease it well then unfold it.

Take the right point, and fold it up at an angle slightly away from the top point.

Repeat the other side as well.

Fold the right top point down along the dotted line.

Repeat this for the left top point.

Take the top point of the top layer, and fold it down diagonally.

Take the top point of the bottom layer, and fold it down, making sure the fold is less than the one in the previous step.

Flip it over.

Fold the left and right edges to the center crease.

Flip the paper over again.

You can draw eyes for it like I did, a lovely cicada is done, this is so realistic.
