Petal Fold: Is a fundamental fold used in origami, especially for creating flowers and other beautiful figures. It’s a simple valley or mountain fold but can be mastered with a little practice.

How to make a petal fold

Start with a square base. Fold the bottom right edges diagonally to meet the center crease on the square base. Then repeat on the left side. Unfold.

Fold the top point down, then unfold.

How to make a petal fold

Open the pocket based on the crease created by the previous step. Then lift up the top layer, use your hands to flatten the pocket.
