This post will teach you how to get an origami pentagon in a very easy way. Some origami are based on pentagons, such as our Origami Christmas Stars. Material
Get a piece of 15×15 cm origami square paper, or any other size of square paper.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Place the paper with the desired display color side down to begin folding, fold it in half horizontally from the bottom to the top.
Step 2
Fold the right edge to align with the top edge, mark the middle of the crease, and unfold it.
Step 3
Fold the right edge to align with the bottom edge, mark the middle of the crease, and unfold it. We can see here an intersection point indicated by the red spot.
Step 4
Fold the bottom left point to meet the intersection point.
Step 5
Fold the bottom right edge of the left layer to align with its bottom left edge.
Step 6
Fold the bottom edge to align with the bottom right edge of the left layer.
Step 7
Rotate the paper 180 degrees from the left to the right, making the back side face up.
Step 8
Fold the right edge to align with the left edge.
Step 9
Cut it along the edge indicated by the dotted line, and we only need the bottom triangle.
Step 10
Expand this triangle completely, that’s an origami pentagon.
