Material

Prepare five pieces of 7.5ร—7.5 cm origami square paper to create a 12.2ร—13 cm origami witch. Feel free to experiment with various colors to give your project a unique outlook.

Step by Step Instructions

Origami Witch Head

Step 1

Place the paper with the desired display color side down to begin folding, fold it in half horizontally, leaving a crease, and unfold it.

Fold the bottom edge to align with the middle horizontal crease, and unfold it.

Step 3

Fold up the bottom left and right points diagonally along the black dotted lines, then fold the bottom left and right edges, making the edges indicated by the red lines align with the middle horizontal crease, as you can see in the second picture.

Step 4

Fold the left and right edges along the black dotted lines, then flip the paper from front to back.

Step 5

Fold the bottom edge to align with the crease indicated by the red line, then unfold this layer 90 degrees to make it stand upright. Open and squash the pocket on the layer’s left and right sides.

Flip the paper from left to right. Next, fold the two small squares on the bottom diagonally in half.

Fold down the top point, then draw an expression for it.

Step 1

Fold another piece of paper in half vertically, leaving a crease, and unfold it.

Fold the top left and right edges to align with the vertical crease, then fold up the bottom triangle.

Flip the paper from left to right, then fold up the bottom edge.

Flip the paper over from left to right, then fold the small tip on each side a little.

Fold down the top tip to the left side and turn over the paper. That’s the final shape of the witch hat.

Step 1

Take another piece of paper to make the witch’s body, fold the bottom right edge to align with the top left edge, leaving a crease, and unfold it.

Fold the bottom left edge to align with the crease you made in the previous step, and unfold it.

Fold the bottom point to meet the center intersection point, fold up the bottom left and right edges, then fold down the top point to meet the center intersection point.

Fold both the left and right corners along the dotted line connecting the two red dots. Then, partially fold them back. Finally, turn over this paper from back to front to complete the folding of the body.

Origami Witch Broom

Step 1

Take out another piece of paper, roll it up from the top point, and apply glue at the bottom to secure it well, get a paper stick and cut both ends a little.

Take out another piece of paper, fold it in half vertically, leaving a crease, and unfold it.

Fold the paper in half horizontally from bottom to top, then cut the right side into a tassel.

Glue the head and the hat together.

Turn over the head, and assemble the body part.

Unfold the bottom triangle.

Place the broom handle on top of the bottom triangle, then fold the triangle up and glue it in place.
