This easy origami vase is designed to be functional. Its well-designed folds and lovely shape make it a unique decorative piece. Its sturdy construction allows you to put dried flowers, origami flowers, or other lightweight items in it.

We recommend using thicker paper to make this origami vase firmer in shape. The finished vase will have the color of two sides showing up. You can interchange the colors by starting with different sides facing up.

Material
Get a piece of 15×15 cm origami square paper, with different colors on each side to create a 6.71×5.31 cm origami vase. Feel free to experiment with different colors and patterns to make your product more unique.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Place the paper with the desired display color side down to begin folding, fold it in half horizontally, leaving a crease then unfold it.
Step 2
Fold the paper in half vertically, leaving a crease, and unfold it.
Step 3
Flip the paper over from left to right.
Step 4
Fold the bottom right edge to align with the top left edge, and unfold it.
Step 5
Fold the bottom left edge to align with the top right edge, and unfold it.
Step 6
Mountain fold the left and right creases, then push the left, right, and top points to meet the bottom point.
Step 7
Fold down the top point a little, then fold the left and right points of the top layer toward the center, and fold up the bottom point of the top layer.
Step 8
Flip the paper over.
Step 9
Fold the left and right points toward the center, and fold up the bottom point of the top layer.
Step 10
Turn over the paper from left to right, then unfold the top triangle, and fold the top layer on the right side to the left along the middle vertical crease. Next, turn over the paper from left to right, and fold the top layer on the right to the left as well.
Step 11
Fold the bottom left and right edges to align with the middle vertical crease.
Step 12
Fold up the bottom triangle.
Step 13
Fold down the top point of this triangle and unfold it, then fold the top point backward and tuck it into the pocket under this triangle.
Step 14
Turn over the paper from left to right, and repeat steps 11 to 13.
Step 15
View the paper from the top, then press down the middle point and pull these four layers outward, at the same time, expand the bottom opening to bulge it.
Step 16
Put your favorite origami flowers in this vase.
