Origami weapons in the world of origami

I have always believed that origami weapons, especially swords, and guns, are a creative branch of the traditional art of origami. These weapons can be funny toys but have decorative purposes.

Many advanced folders create different types of combined guns on social media, such as YouTube and TikTok. But this one is super easy, with just less than 20 steps. We recommend using some unique paper to make this sword cool and unique.

If you are new to origami, start here from our beginner guide to know the basics and how to read the step-by-step instructions.

Please explain step 15 better. I’ve been stuck on it for the past 15 minutes and STILL can’t understand it!

Step 15 I’m so sorry for the confusion! I’ve updated step 15 of the tutorial to make it clearer. I’ve added a mountain fold line – that’s the red dash-dot line you’ll see now. Without making this fold first, the handle won’t fold down correctly. Try creating that mountain fold along the red dash-dot line before attempting to fold the handle down!
