Material
Get two pieces of 15ร15 cm square paper to create a 7.5ร6.1 cm origami strawberry. One red and one green paper. You can use patterned or textured paper to add visual interest.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Place the red paper with the red side facing up, fold and unfold it horizontally, then vertically.
Step 2
Turn over this paper.
Step 3
Fold the bottom right edge to align with the top left edge, crease it well, and unfold it. Then fold the bottom left edge to align with the top right edge, and unfold it.
Step 4
Mountain fold the left and right creases, then push the left, right, and top points to meet the bottom point. Flatten the fold to get a small square.
Step 5
Fold the top left and right edges of the top layer to align with the vertical crease.
Step 6
Fold the bottom left and right edges to align with the vertical crease, and unfold them for 90 degrees to make these two flaps stand upright.
Step 7
Open and squash the two flaps.
Step 8
Fold up the triangle at the bottom.
Step 9
Flip over the paper and fold the top left and right edges to align with the vertical crease.
Step 10
Repeat steps 6 to 8.
Step 11
Rotate the paper 90 degrees from front to back, then bring the upper two flaps together on the top, and the lower two flaps together on the bottom. Next, rotate it 90 degrees from right to left, and another 90 degrees clockwise.
Step 12
Fold the bottom left and right edges to align with the vertical crease, then fold up the triangle at the bottom.
Step 13
Flip over the paper from left to right, then repeat the previous step.
Step 14
Rotate the paper 90 degrees from back to front, then open the opening by pulling the four sides toward their respective directions. Then fold the four flaps on the four sides inwards.
Step 15
Take out the other piece of paper, let’s make the leaf part. Place it with the green side facing down, and fold and unfold it horizontally, then vertically. Finally, cut the paper along the creases you made to obtain four small squares.
Step 16
Take out one of the small squares, fold it in half horizontally from bottom to top, then vertically from right to left. Finally, fold it in half diagonally from bottom left to top right.
Step 17
Cut it along the dotted lines to obtain a rhombic, then cut the bottom point of the rhombic a little.
Step 18
Expand it.
Step 19
Take another small square piece of paper and place it with the green side facing down. Next, roll it starting from the top point, and apply glue to the bottom point to secure the paper rod.
Step 20
Cut the top end of the paper rod.
Step 21
Assemble the rod and the leaf you made.
Step 22
Apply glue on the four edges of the top of the strawberry, then put the rod into it and glue them well.
Step 23
Finally, paint spots on your strawberry to make it look cuter.
