The origami rocket is a creative, handmade project. With just a few simple steps, a piece of paper can be transformed into a realistic rocket model. The smooth lines convey a sense of upward power and speed, while the sharp head design appears ready to break through the clouds. Additionally, there are four rocket engine nozzles at the tail. Whether used as a toy for children or as a decorative ornament, this project will captivate anyone who enjoys crafting.

- Folding time: 15 minutes
- Paper: 15cm x 15cm
- Difficulty: Easy
Material
Get a piece of 15cm x 15cm origami square paper, to create a 9.4cm x 5.62cm origami rocket. Feel free to experiment with various colors and sizes of paper.
About the paper: It is recommended to use a slightly thinner and tougher paper, too thick paper can lead to difficulties in making the engine nozzles.

Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Place the paper with the desired display side facing up to begin folding. Fold and unfold it in half horizontally, then vertically.

Step 2
Flip the paper over from left to right.

Step 3
Fold and unfold it in half diagonally from both sides.

Step 4
Mountain fold the left and right creases indicated by the red dotted lines, then push the center point of the left, right, and top edge to meet the bottom edge’s center point. Flatten the fold to get a triangle.

Step 5
Fold the left edge of the top layer to the right side along the dotted line.

Step 6
Fold the top layer on the right to the left side along the middle vertical crease, then fold the left edge of this folded layer to make it align with the layer under it. Mark the crease point on the bottom edge and unfold it.

Step 7
Fold the top layer on the left side to the right side along the vertical crease, then fold its right edge along the dotted line connecting the point you marked in the previous step and the top point of the paper.

Step 8
Flip the paper over from left to right and fold the left and right edges along the dotted lines to align them with the layer below.

Step 9
Rotate the paper 90 degrees from front to back, then bring the upper two layers together on the top and the lower two layers together on the bottom. Rotate it 90 degrees clockwise, then another 90 degrees from back to front to lay it flat.

Step 10
Fold the left and right corners of the triangle along the black dotted lines, leaving two creases, and unfold them.

Step 12
As you did in step 10, fold the left and right corners of the triangle along the black dotted lines, leaving two creases, and unfold them.

Step 13
Rotate the paper 90 degrees from front to back, then bring the upper two layers together on the top and the lower two layers together on the bottom. Rotate it 90 degrees clockwise, then another 90 degrees from back to front to lay it flat.

Step 14
Fold the crease indicated by the red dotted line to the right side along the black dotted line, leaving a crease, and unfold it.

Step 15
Take the same crease indicated by the red dotted line and fold it to align with the crease you made in the previous step. Finally, fold the quadrilateral to the left.

Step 16
Fold the crease indicated by the red dotted line to the left side along the black dotted line, leaving a crease, and unfold it.

Step 17
Take the same crease indicated by the red dotted line and fold it to align with the crease you made in the previous step. Finally, fold the quadrilateral to the right.

Step 18
Rotate the paper 180 degrees from left to right, and repeat steps 14 to 17.

Step 19
Rotate the paper 90 degrees from back to front, slightly expand the bottom opening and inflate the rocket, and finally, rotate it back.
