Material
Get two pieces of 20ร20 cm origami square paper for the pot part.
Two pieces of 15ร15 cm origami paper: one light green and one dark green for the eight leaves.
Four pieces of 15ร15 cm origami square paper for eight stems: one light green and one dark green.
Origami Pot Plant – Leaves
Step 1
Place the paper with the green side down to begin folding. Fold it in half horizontally, unfold it to form a crease, and cut the paper along this crease.
Step 2
Take out the triangle at the bottom, fold its left point to meet the right point, leaving a vertical crease, and unfold it, then cut it along this crease.
Step 3
Focus on the bottom left triangle. Fold its top left point to meet the bottom point, creating a crease. Unfold it and cut the paper along the crease. You will now see four triangles.
Step 4
Take out the bigger triangle we marked number 1, and fold its left point to meet the right point.
Step 5
Fold the bottom right point to meet the top point.
Step 6
Fold the bottom right edge to align with the left edge, then unfold the paper to the shape you folded it in step 4.
Step 7
Fold the bottom right point along the dotted line that extends vertically down from the red spot, crease it well, and unfold it, and finally, cut the paper along this crease.
Step 8
Unfold this paper completely and flip it over from left to right to make the green side face up.
Step 9
Fold the left part to the right side, making the crease indicated by the red line to align with the middle vertical crease indicated by the black line [picture 1].
Then, fold this layer back to the left side along the crease indicated by the black dotted line [picture 2].
Fold the left layer to the right side along the black dotted line, then fold it back to the left side along the crease indicated by the black dotted line [pictures 3 and 4].
Repeat the above steps [pictures 5 and 6].
Finally, fold this left layer to the right side along the black dotted line [pictures 7 and 8].
Step 10
Repeat the previous step for the right side.
Fold the right part to the left side, making the crease indicated by the red line align with the middle vertical crease indicated by the black line [picture 1].
Then, fold this layer back to the right side along the crease indicated by the black dotted line [picture 2].
Fold the right layer to the left side along the black dotted line, then fold it back to the right side along the crease indicated by the black dotted line [pictures 3 and 4].
Repeat the steps in picture 3 and picture 4 [pictures 5 and 6].
Finally, fold this right layer to the left side along the black dotted line [pictures 5 and 6].
Step 11
Rotate the paper 180 degrees from left to right, then fold up the bottom point to meet the grey dotted line, and finally, turn over the paper from left to right.
Step 12
Expand the right part and flatten the first crease along the red dotted line.
Step 13
Similarly, flatten the second crease along the red dotted line.
Step 14
Flip the paper over from the left to right.
Step 15
Fold down the edge indicated by the red dotted line along the black dotted line, then fold the first layer from the left of the stem part to the left side along the dotted line.
Step 16
Fold the first layer on the right side of the stem part to the left side along the dotted line.
Step 17
Rotate it 180 degrees from left to right.
Step 18
Expand the left part and flatten the first crease from the top along the red dotted line.
Step 19
Similarly, flatten the second crease along the red dotted line.
Step 20
Flip it over from left to right.
Step 21
Fold up the edge along the black dotted line, then fold the first layer from the right of the stem part to the right side along the dotted line.
Step 22
Fold this layer to the right side along the dotted line.
Step 23
Fold the four points at the bottom to make the edge lines of this leaf soft and smooth, then bring up the left and right edges of the stem upward, and next, press it down for 90 degrees. Finally, flip the paper over from left to right to get a lovely green leaf.

Fold the other seven leaves in the same manner above.
How to Make Stems & Connect Your Leaves
Step 1
Take out another piece of green paper, and place it with the green side face up, then fold it in half horizontally, leaving a crease, and unfold it. Finally, cut the paper along this crease.
Step 2
Roll it up from the bottom right point, and apply glue on the top left area to stick it well.
Step 3
Fold out a total of eight stems in this manner.
Step 4
Assemble the stems and leaves.
Step 5
Bend the stems to create a more natural form.
Step 6
Get eight leaves in different sizes and colors.
Origami Pot Plant – Pot
Step 1
Fold a short flower pot that we have already posted.
Step 2
Take out another piece of paper that is the same color as that flower pot to make a pot filler for subsequent leaf arrangements.
Place it with the white side face up, fold it in half horizontally, leaving a crease, and unfold it, and finally, fold the top and bottom edges to align with this crease.
Step 3
Fold it in half horizontally from bottom to top, then flip it over from left to right.
Step 4
Roll it up from the left side, and rotate it 90 degreed from front to back to make it stand upright.
Step 5
Place this roll in the pot.
Final Assembly: Bringing Your Pot Plant Together
Step 1
Insert the bottom of the leaf’s stem into the slit to hold it in place.
Step 2
Place the remaining leaves in the same manner.
