Making this palm leaf is super easy, requiring only 8 steps and taking no more than 10 minutes. Material
Get a piece of 15×15 cm origami square paper, with different colors on each side, to create an 11×5.4 cm origami palm leaf. Feel free to experiment with different colors of paper to create palm leaves in different seasons.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Place the paper with the desired display side facing down to begin folding, fold it in half diagonally, leaving a crease, and unfold it, then cut the paper along this crease.
Step 2
Fold the bottom triangle in half vertically, crease it well, and unfold it.
Step 3
Fold up the bottom point to meet the midpoint of the top edge.
Step 4
Fold up the bottom edge to align with the top edge, then repeat this another three times.
Step 5
Unfold the paper completely.
Step 6
Mountain fold the creases indicated by the red dotted lines; valley fold the creases indicated by the black dotted lines, and bring these creases together.
Step 7
Apply glue to the top side, bring up the top left and right ends, and stick the two sides well.
Step 8
Turn over the paper; this is the final shape of an origami palm leaf.
