Making this palm leaf is super easy, requiring only 8 steps and taking no more than 10 minutes. Material
Get a piece of 15ร15 cm origami square paper, with different colors on each side, to create an 11ร5.4 cm origami palm leaf. Feel free to experiment with different colors of paper to create palm leaves in different seasons.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Place the paper with the desired display side facing down to begin folding, fold it in half diagonally, leaving a crease, and unfold it, then cut the paper along this crease.
Step 2
Fold the bottom triangle in half vertically, crease it well, and unfold it.
Step 3
Fold up the bottom point to meet the midpoint of the top edge.
Step 4
Fold up the bottom edge to align with the top edge, then repeat this another three times.
Step 5
Unfold the paper completely.
Step 6
Mountain fold the creases indicated by the red dotted lines; valley fold the creases indicated by the black dotted lines, and bring these creases together.
Step 7
Apply glue to the top side, bring up the top left and right ends, and stick the two sides well.
Step 8
Turn over the paper; this is the final shape of an origami palm leaf.
