Material
Get a piece of 15ร15 cm origami square paper to create a 14.5ร6 cm origami olive branch. Feel free to use different colors and patterns of paper.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Fold the paper in half horizontally and vertically once each, and unfold it to get two creases, then cut along the creases to get four small squares.
Step 2
Take out one of the small squares, fold it in half horizontally and vertically once each, and unfold it to create two creases.
Step 3
Flip the paper over from left to right.
Step 4
Fold the bottom right edge to align with the top left edge, and unfold it. Then fold the bottom left edge to align with the top right edge and unfold it.
Step 5
Mountain fold the left and right creases, then push the left, right, and top points to meet the bottom point. Flatten the fold to create a smaller square.
Step 6
Fold the bottom left and right edges of the upper layer to align with the middle vertical crease, and unfold them.
Step 7
Mountain fold the creases you made, then lift the upper layer along the black dotted line to open the pocket. Push the left and right points toward the center, and finally, flatten the fold, and fold down the top triangle.
Step 8
Turn over the paper from left to right.
Step 9
Fold the bottom left and right edges to align with the middle vertical crease, and unfold them.
Step 10
Mountain fold the creases you made, then lift the upper layer along the black dotted line to open the pocket. Push the left and right points toward the center, and finally, flatten the fold, and fold down the top triangle.
Step 11
Rotate it 90 degrees from front to back, lift the top and bottom layers first, then lift the left and right layers.
Step 12
Press down the center point.
Step 13
Push the four edges toward the center to sharpen the four corners.
Step 14
Fold the top and bottom flaps toward the right flap, then rotate the model 90 degrees from back to front.
Step 15
While lifting the front layer, fold down the right flap [picture 1] and turn the model 90 degrees from front to back [picture 2].
Next, press down the left layer [picture 3] and fold the left rear flap to the right [picture 4].
Step 16
Expand the top opening of the upper flap, and then gently press down its right tip.
Repeat this for the remaining two flaps.
Step 17
Fold the remaining three small square papers in the same manner.
Step 18
Assemble the two leaves as the pictures show.
Step 19
Put them all together.
