Material
Get 16 pieces of 7.5cm x 7.5cm origami square paper with different colors, you are free to mix and match the colors.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Take out one of the papers, and place it with the desired display color side up to begin folding, fold it in half horizontally, and unfold it. Then, fold it in half vertically, and unfold it.
Step 2
Flip over from left to right.
Step 3
Fold the bottom right edge to align with the top left edge, and unfold it. Then, fold the bottom left edge to align with the top right edge and unfold it.
Step 4
Mountain fold the left and right creases, and push the left, right, and top points to meet the bottom point. Flatten it to get a small square.
Step 5
Fold the bottom left and right edges of the upper layer to align with the middle vertical crease, then fold down the top triangle, and unfold them.
Step 6
Mountain fold the creases you just made indicated by the red dotted line, and bring up the upper layer to open the pocket. Then use your hands to flatten the pocket, and finally, fold down the top triangle.
Step 7
Take the upper layer on the right side and fold it to the left side, then rotate the paper 180 degrees from left to right.
Step 8
Fold the bottom left and right edges to align with the middle vertical crease, and unfold them.
Step 9
As you did in step 6, mountain fold the creases indicated by the red dotted line, and bring up the upper layer to open the pocket. Then use your hands to flatten the pocket, and finally, fold the upper layer on the right to the left side.
Step 10
Fold up the upper layer, making the two red spots overlap.
Step 11
Fold up the upper flap on the bottom right side along the dotted line, crease it well, and unfold it.
Step 12
Still this flap you folded in the previous step, fold its left edge indicated by the red line to align with the edge indicated by the black line, crease it well, and unfold it.
Step 13
Mountain fold the crease you just made on the upper side of this flap, then open this flap and lift this crease, then fold it up along the dotted line. Finally, squash the flap and flatten the fold.
Step 14
Fold the remaining papers in the same manner.
Step 15
Insert the left corner of the right module into the pocket of the left module to assemble the two modules.
Step 16
Assemble the remaining modules in this way to finish this leaf wreath.
