Before you fold, you can write holiday wishes, birthday wishes, or invitations on the paper. Your friends or family will feel grateful and happy when they receive and open this letter.
It forms a rectangular origami envelope with a leaf in the upper center. You can change the direction of the leaf, either pointing right or left.

Get a piece of US letter or A4 paper to create this lovely leaf envelope.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Place the paper with the desired display color side up to begin folding, fold the left edge to align with the top edge, and unfold it.
Step 2
Fold the top and bottom right points along the black dotted lines.
Step 3
Fold the top left point indicated by the red spot to the right side to meet the other red spot, leaving a crease, and unfold it.
Step 4
Unfold the left triangle and rotate it 180 degrees from front to back.
Step 5
Fold up the bottom left point indicated by the red spot to meet the other red spot, which is an intersection point formed by creases, leaving a crease, and unfold it.
Step 6
Fold the bottom left point indicated by the red spot to meet the other red spot, which is also an intersection point formed by the creases you made.
Then, fold the bottom left edge along the black dotted line to meet the crease you made in the previous step. You will repeat this three times for this bottom left edge [pictures 2 to 4], and the fifth picture is the final shape.
Step 7
Unfold them.
Step 8
Mountain fold the creases indicated by the red dotted lines, and valley fold the creases indicated by the black dotted lines.
Step 9
Turn over the paper from back to front.
Step 10
Fold up the bottom left point along the crease indicated by the dotted line.
Step 11
Fold the left point along the dotted line to reveal the leaf.
Step 12
Fold up the bottom point along the dotted line.
Step 13
Rotate it 180 degrees from front to back, then fold the right part toward the left side along the dotted line.
Step 14
Rotate it 180 degrees from left to right and another 90 degrees counterclockwise.
Step 15
Tuck the top part of the layer on the back into the pocket of the front layer.
