A Kusudama flower ball is a traditional Japanese paper craft that involves assembling multiple Kusudama flowers into a spherical shape. This flower ball is made up of 12 individual Kusudama flowers, and each flower is crafted from 5 units or petals, folded from a square piece of paper.
We also add a beautiful paper circle carrying handle to make it not only beautiful, but also easy to hang and display. It’s great whether you carry it for display or take photos, or hang it anywhere as a decoration of your room. The flowers can be any color to better match the perfect Kusudama flower ball in your mind.
This gorgeous Kusudama flower ball are commonly used for decorative purposes such as home decor, wedding decor, or gifts. If desired, you can fold 12 flowers and glue them together to make a large origami flower ball, which might be more noticeable!

Material
Get 60 pieces of 15ร15 cm origami square paper and a long paper strip.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Take out one of the pink papers and fold it in half horizontally from bottom to top.
Step 2
Fold the bottom left and right points to meet the top point.
Step 3
Fold the right edge of the left layer to align with the bottom left edge, fold the left edge of the right layer to align with the bottom right edge, leaving two creases, and unfold them.
Step 4
Bring up the two layers to make them stand upright, then squash them along the creases you made in the previous step.
Step 5
Fold the two points along the black dotted lines.
Step 6
Fold up the bottom left and right edges along the creases indicated by the black dotted lines.
Step 7
Apply glue on these two sides, then glue them together. This is one of the units of the flower.
Step 8
Make another four units in the same manner.
Step 9
Assemble three of the petals first.
Step 10
Then, assemble the remaining two to get a single kusudama flower.
Step 11
Make the other eleven kusudama flowers as described above.
Step 12
Assemble three of the flowers.

Rotate the assembled big flower 90 degrees from right to left, then take out the other flower and glue it on as shown in the picture.
Step 14
Glue a flower in each of the four directions.
Step 15
Rotate this large flower 9180 degrees from front to back to keep it bottom side up.
Step 16
Glue on the other three flowers.
Step 17
Take out the paper strip, apply glue on the left end, then glue the two ends together. Finally, rotate it 90 degrees from front to back.
Step 18
Assemble this paper ring.
Step 19
Apply glue to each petal on the upward-facing side of the assembled large flower, apply glue to each petal of the last flower as well, and then glue this last flower to the large flower.
