The origami knife consists of three parts: the main knife part, the sheath, and a unique knife guard located between the blade and the handle. Origami knife has a long history back to the Japanese origami. It is one of the top popular origami weapons.
Unlike a real knife, this origami knife is completely safe, making it a perfect project for all ages. Make an origami knife with your child, in the process, you can teach them about knife safety in the process in a fun and engaging manner.

Material
Get three pieces of 15ร15 cm square paper to create a 15cm long origami knife. Use various colors of paper to create a unique knife that suits your style.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Take out the light blue paper and place it with the blue side facing down, fold it horizontally, and unfold it.
Step 2
Fold the top and bottom left points diagonally to meet the horizontal crease.
Step 3
Fold the top and bottom left edges to align with the middle horizontal crease.
Step 4
Fold the top and bottom points along the black dotted lines to meet the midpoint of the right edge.
Step 5
Fold the top and bottom edges to align with the middle horizontal crease.
Step 6
Fold the paper in half horizontally from top to bottom, then cut the right end a little.
Step 7
Take out the black paper and place it with the black side facing down. Fold it in half horizontally and unfold it, then fold the bottom edge to align with the middle horizontal crease, leaving a crease, and unfold it. Finally, cut along the crease you made.
Step 8
Use the small rectangular piece of paper you just cut, which we marked number one in the picture, to wrap it around the bottom of the knife. Apply glue to the end to secure it in place.
Step 9
Take the piece of rectangular paper we marked number 2, and wrap it around the top of the knife. Apply glue to the end to secure it in place.
Step 10
Remove the longer wrapped paper on the left, place it under the knife, align it, and cut the wrapped paper along the beveled edge of the knife. The sheath is ready.
Step 11
Take out the last piece of paper and place it with the blue side facing down. Fold and unfold it horizontally, then vertically.
Step 12
Fold the bottom edge to align with the middle horizontal crease, leaving a crease, and unfold it. Then, fold the bottom edge to align with this crease, and unfold it.
Step 13
Fold the bottom edge up a little horizontally and unfold it. Cut the paper along the creases indicated by the dotted lines, as you can see in the third picture. We will only use the papers marked with numbers one and two.
Step 14
Take the paper marked number 1, fold it in half vertically, and unfold it.
Step 15
Rotate this paper 90 degrees clockwise, then fold the top and bottom edges to align with the middle horizontal crease.
Step 16
Fold the top and bottom edges to align with the middle horizontal crease.
Step 17
Fold the four points diagonally, and unfold them.
Step 18
Fold the left and right edges toward the center of the paper along the dotted lines, and unfold them.
Step 19
Unfold the paper completely, then cut the paper along the crease in the center shown by the dotted line. Using a small craft knife will be easier.
Step 20
Fold the top and bottom edges toward the center along the creases indicated by the dotted lines.
Step 21
Fold down the top edge.
Step 22
Mountain fold the two short horizontal creases indicated by the red dotted lines, then lift and push the bottom sections of the left and right edges toward the center [picture 1].
Next, fold up the bottom edge and then fold up the whole bottom part [pictures 2 and 3].
Finally, tuck the top left and right corners into the pocket next to them [pictures 4 and 5].
This is the knife guard.
Step 23
Assemble the guard and the knife.
Step 24
Take the piece of small rectangular paper we marked number 2, and wrap it around the bottom of the handle of the knife. Apply glue to the end to secure it in place.
Step 25
This is a complete knife with a sheath.
