This tutorial will guide you through making a Hello Kitty figure wearing a cute little skirt. The process is divided into seven parts: the face, body, clothes, hat, decorative star for the hat, bow hair accessories, and a bow tie.

For color matching, we primarily use red and green to create a Hello Kitty design that captures the Christmas spirit. You can select different colors based on your preferences, maybe the classic pink.

Material
One piece of 7.5ร7.5cm green paper for Hello Kitty’s clothing.
2 pieces of 10ร10cm white paper for Hello Kitty’s body and face.
One piece of 5.5ร2.5cm green paper is used to make Hello Kitty’s hat.
One piece of 3ร3cm yellow paper is used to make a decorative star.
3 pieces of 5*2.5cm red paper are used to make an origami bow and an origami bow tie.

Step by Step Instructions
Origami Hello Kitty Clothing
Step 1
Take out the piece of 7.5ร7.5cm green paper, place it with the desired display color side down to begin folding, fold it in half vertically, and unfold it.

Fold it in half horizontally, leaving a short crease indicated by the black dotted line, and unfold it.

Step 2
Fold the bottom edge to align with the short horizontal crease, leaving a crease, and unfold it.

Step 3
Fold the top edge to align with the crease you made in the previous step, leaving a crease, and unfold it.

Step 4
Fold the top edge to align with the middle short horizontal crease, leaving a short crease, and unfold it.

Step 5
Fold the bottom edge to align with the crease you made in the previous step, leaving a short crease indicated by the black dotted line, and unfold it.

Step 6
Turn over the paper from left to right.

Step 7
Fold the crease indicated by the red dotted line to align with the first short crease from the bottom marked by the black line.

Fold the crease indicated by the red dotted line to align with the first short crease from the top marked by the black line.

Turn over the paper from left to right. Fold the top left and right points along the black dotted lines separately, then fold up the two bottom points, and finally, turn over the paper.

Step 1
Place the paper with the desired display color side down, fold it in half horizontally, and unfold it.

Fold it in half vertically, leaving a crease, and unfold it.

Step 2
Fold it in half diagonally, leaving a crease, and unfold it.

Fold the paper in half diagonally from the opposite side, making a crease, and then unfold it.

Step 3
Fold both the left and right edges to align with the middle vertical crease.

Step 4
Fold both the top and bottom edges to align with the middle horizontal crease, and unfold them.

Step 5
Fold the bottom right point along the black dotted line connecting two red spots, crease it well, and unfold it.

Similarly, fold the bottom left point along the black dotted line connecting two red spots, crease it well, and unfold it.

Open the top opening and press down on the top edge; all the required creases already exist.

Repeat this: open the bottom opening and fold up the bottom edge.

Step 1
Take out the piece of 5.5ร2.5cm green paper, place it with the desired display color side down to begin folding, fold it in half vertically, and unfold it.
Then, fold the left and right edges to align with the middle vertical crease. Fold the top right and left points along the dotted lines connecting two red spots.

Step 2
Flip the paper over, that’s the hat.

Origami Hello Kitty Star
Step 1
Place the 3ร3cm paper with the desired display color side up to begin folding. Fold and unfold it in half horizontally, then vertically.

Step 2
Turn over the paper.

Step 3
Fold and unfold it in half diagonally from both directions.

Step 4
Mountain fold the left and right creases, then press the midpoints of the left, right, and top edges to meet the midpoint of the bottom edge.

Step 5
Fold the right edge of the top layer to align with the vertical crease, then turn over the paper and fold the right edge of the top layer on this side to align with the vertical crease.

Step 6
Rotate the paper 90 degrees from back to front, pull the left and right points to the sides, and flatten the top and bottom flaps, as the third picture shows. Finally, rotate it 90 degrees from front to back.

Step 7
Fold the right flap to the left side along the crease indicated by the dotted line, and fold it back to the right side for a short section.

Unfold the top layer to the right side, push the midpoint of the top and bottom edges and fold the left edge to align with the right edge.

Fold the left edge of the top layer to the right side along the white dotted line. Flip the paper from front to back, and fold the left edge to align with the right edge.

Apply glue on the body part and then glue the clothing on.
