When you want to wrap your gift, the possible solution is to wrap it with a paper bag. In this tutorial, we will make a super easy origami gift bag.
We are demonstrating with regular origami paper. But when comes to real bags, you can choose to use larger wrapping papers.
Patterned papers can give the bag super unique appearance. But if you prefer to use solid color papers, remember to draw some decorative elements like flowers, fruits, cute animals or others to match with your gift.
We really love the idea of using easily available items to create practical objects with minimal effort and time. You can even make a unique gift bag by using newspaper! This is not only a simple craft but also a perfect container to hold any small snack or gift.

Step by Step Origami Paper Bag Instructions
Step 1
Place the paper with the desired display side facing down to begin folding. Fold the right edge toward the left side a little along the dotted line.
Step 2
Fold the paper in half vertically, leaving a crease, and unfold it.
Step 3
Apply glue on the right small rectangle, then fold the paper in half vertically from left to right and glue it well.
Step 4
Fold up the bottom edge along the dotted line and unfold it.
Step 5
Fold up the bottom left and right points diagonally, ensuring the left and right edges of the bottom rectangle align with its top edge. Leaving two slanted creases, then unfold them.
Step 6
Mountain fold the creases you made in the previous step, then lift the bottom edge of the top layer to open the opening. Fold up this bottom edge along the existing horizontal crease indicated by the dotted line, and finally, flatten the fold.
Step 7
Fold down the top edge of the bottom hexagon.
Step 8
Fold up the bottom edge and unfold it, then apply glue to the bottom of the top trapezoidal (the overlap part of the two trapezoidal). Finally, fold up the bottom edge again and glue it well.
Step 9
Fold the bottom hexagon in half horizontally from top to bottom.
Step 10
Fold the left and right edges toward the center along the dotted lines, and unfold them.
Step 12
Rotate the paper 90 degrees from front to back, then open the opening.
Step 13
Rotate the bag 90 degrees from left to right, then mountain fold the creases indicated by the red dotted lines, and valley fold the creases indicated by the black dotted lines. Push the left edge toward the right side and bring the top and bottom edges together.
Step 14
Turn it over from front to back and repeat the previous step.
Step 15
Rotate the bag 90 degrees counterclockwise to make the opening face up, then another 90 degrees from right to left.
Step 16
Fold down the top edge for four times.
