Material
Get a piece of 15ร15 cm origami square paper, with different colors on each side, to create a 9ร7.5 cm origami chicken. Choose any other square sheet of paper in your preferred color.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Place the paper with the desired display color side down to begin folding, fold it in half horizontally from the bottom to the top.
Step 2
Fold the left and right points to meet the top point.
Step 3
Flip the paper over.
Step 4
Fold it in half vertically from the right to the left.
Step 5
Take the top two layers of the top left edge, and fold them down along the dotted line, then a corner will be formed, and squash it.
Step 6
Rotate the paper 180 degrees from the left to the right.
Step 7
Fold up the bottom point along the black dotted line, crease it well then unfold it.
Step 8
Rotate the paper 90 degrees from left to right, slightly expand it as the second picture shows, then fold up the bottom point along the creases you made in the previous step, and press down the bottom tip a little. Finally, flatten the fold, and rotate it 90 degrees from the right to the left.
Step 9
Fold down the top two layers of the top right edge along the dotted line, then squash the corner.
Step 10
Fold the top point down, and unfold it.
Step 11
Rotate it 90 degrees clockwise, then rotate it 90 degrees from the back to the front.
Step 12
Slightly expand the model from the bottom, and shape the creases you just made, then fold the right point of the top layer to the left along the dotted line.
Step 13
Focus on the right part, lift the top layer that you just folded, and press down the bottom layer, creating a pocket, then pinch and flatten them along the middle horizontal crease.
Step 14
That’s your lovely origami chicken.
