A simple and cute origami carrot for beginners and kids. All you need is two pieces of square paper, the orange one for the carrot part and the red one for the leaf part.

It is a super great idea for an attractive origami storybook with an origami rabbit or vegetables. Both the carrot and the leaf part can be finished within 5 minutes. You will also need a glue to combine the two parts.

Material

Prepare two sheets of 15ร—15 cm paper, one white on one side and one orange and one green on the other, and you will get a 20*10 cm carrot.

Step by Step Instructions

The carrot part

Step 1

For the carrot part, take the orange paper, start with the white side of the paper facing up, fold it in half vertically, crease it well then unfold.

Step 2

Fold the left and right edges to meet the middle crease you just made.

Step 3

Fold the top triangle down diagonally.

Step 4

Fold both left and right corners to the middle crease along the dotted lines.

Step 5

Flip it over, this is the final shape of the carrot part.

The leaf part

Step 1

Take out the green paper, start with the white side of the paper facing up, fold it in half horizontally.

Step 2

Fold the left and right corners up to meet the top corner.

Step 3

Take the top left and right corners, fold them to their side along the dotted lines to meet the bottom left and right edges of the square.

Assemble

Place the leaf part underneath the carrot, making sure the carrot covers the bottom part of the leaf, finally, assemble them by gluing the covered part.
