Material
Prepare a one-dollar bill to fold a origami sword. A slightly new bill can make the production process smoother.

Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Place the bill with the number side face up, fold it in half vertically, leaving a crease, and unfold it.

Step 2
Fold the left and right edges to align with the vertical crease.

Step 3
Fold the bottom left and right corners diagonally along the dotted lines.

Step 4
Fold the left and right edges to align with the horizontal crease, crease them well, and unfold them.

Step 5
Flip the bill from left to right.

Step 6
Fold down the top edge along the blue dotted line.

Step 7
Turn the bill over from left to right.

Step 8
Fold the top left and right corners a little diagonally, crease them well, and unfold them.

Step 9
Fold the left and right edges of the top layer to align with the center horizontal crease, then open and squash the top left and right corners along the creases you made in the previous step.

Step 10
Flip the bill from left to right.

Step 11
Fold the bottom edge of the top layer along the blue dotted line, and then flip the bill from left to right.

Step 12
Fold the left and right edges of the top part toward the center along the blue dotted lines, and then fold down the resulting flap.

Fold the bottom edge of the top layer along the blue dotted line.

Step 14
Fold the right edge of the sword hilt to align with the center vertical crease, then flatten the resulting corner, as you can see in the 2 and 3 pictures.

Step 15
Repeat this for the left side.
Fold the left edge of the sword hilt to align with the center vertical crease, then flatten the resulting corner, as you can see in the 2 and 3 pictures.

Step 16
Turn the sword from left to right.
