Another origami frog tutorial, and what’s special about this is that it’s made with a dollar bill. So far, we’ve posted three of these origami jumping frogs. The other two are Easy Sticky Note Origami Frog, made with sticky notes, and Easy Origami Frog โ Jumping Frog, made with ordinary folding paper. They provide you with more opportunities and options.
Although they use different materials, the folding method is not much different. The gameplay is the same, press its butt to make it jump away.

If you are new to origami, start here from our beginner guide to know the basics and how to read the step-by-step instructions.

Material
Prepare a piece of a dollar bill to create an origami frog. A slightly newer and crisper dollar will make the folding process smoother.

Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
Fold the top edge to align with the right edge, leaving a crease, and unfold it.

Step 2
Fold the top edge to align with the left edge, leaving a crease, and unfold it.

Step 3
Flip the dollar from left to right.

Step 4
Fold down the top edge along the dotted line, extending horizontally from the intersection point, leaving a crease, and unfold it.

Step 5
Flip the bill over from left to right.

Step 6
lift the left and right points of the horizontal crease and push them down, then fold down the top edge.
Flatten the fold, getting a triangle.

Step 7
Fold up the left and right corners of the top triangle along the black dotted lines, then fold up the bottom edge of the bill to align with the top triangle’s bottom edge.

Step 8
Fold the left flap of the top part to the right side along the center vertical line, then fold the left edge of the rectangle to align with the center vertical line, and finally, fold the flap back to the left side.

Step 9
Repeat this for the right side.
Fold the right flap of the top part to the left side along the center vertical line, then fold the right edge of the rectangle to align with the center vertical line, and finally, fold the flap back to the right side.

Step 10
Fold the bottom left and right corners diagonally along the black dotted lines, crease them well, and unfold them. Then, turn the bill over from left to right, fold the bottom left and right corners in the same manner, and unfold them.

Step 11
Flip the bill from left to right.

Step 12
Bring up the left and right layers, and mountain fold the two creases indicated by the red dotted lines, then push the bottom edge’s midpoint upward along the existing crease. Finally, press down the left and right layers.

Step 13
Fold the bottom left and right corners along the black dotted lines, then fold the bottom edge up, and fold it back to the bottom side to form a zigzag shape. Finally, turn the frog over from left to right.

Step 14
Keep pressing until the frog jumps away, test how far your frog can jump.
